Bathgate Smile Centre

Fraser graduated (BDS) from Edinburgh University in 1988. winning prizes in Medical Biology and Dental Materials Science. After a brief period working in Morningside, Edinburgh he started work in Bathgate in 1989, setting up Bathgate Smile Centre in 2004. He particularly enjoys endodontics and restorative dentistry, especially metal-free restorations and restoring implants.  He has a long-term interest in post graduate education and is a past President of the Royal Odonto-Chirurgical Society of Scotland- the oldest dental society in the world. He was awarded a fellowship from the International College of Dentists (FICD) in 2022 for his “outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service and dedication to the continued progress of dentistry”.

Outwith dentistry, he splits his time between Edinburgh and Angus where he enjoys country pursuits. He also collects wine and Japanese knives. He is married with four sons who live in England, the USA and Australia. He hopes to visit them more often in future!
