Colinton Dental & Implant Centre
Oral Surgery, Sedation, Dental Implants - Andrew Wortley
Andrew Wortley
I obtained my BDS from Newcastle dental school, going on to work in a variety of settings from oral maxillofacial surgery in Southampton General Hospital, to acute dental care in the urgent dental care hubs in London. I have since moved to Scotland and I now work in Colinton Dental Practice & Implant Centre.
My interest is oral surgery; specifically, the surgical removal of impacted 8’s and other minor oral surgery. I am also completing my diploma in implantology and provide implants and implant restorations for my patients. Moreover, I have a passion for restorative dentistry and have developed my techniques in providing aesthetic posterior and anterior composites, as well as direct and indirect onlays in order to provide lasting restorations following a biomimetic approach.
I am committed to providing a service for my patients that is inclusive and holistic and I enjoy working with patients to develop tailored treatment plans suitable to their health and financial needs.
I am qualified to deliver intravenous sedation, where appropriate, and will accept referrals of anxious patients for this. Under IVS I am able to carry out extractions and simple restorative work with the exception of root canal treatment and crown provision. Further to this, I accept referrals for surgical removal of teeth and roots, along with simple surgical removal of wisdom teeth not in close association with the ID nerve.
