Melissa graduated from Newcastle Dental School in 2007, she is experienced in treating adults with IV or inhalation sedation and children with inhalation sedation. She passed her Diploma in Conscious Sedation for Dentistry in 2011. Since then she has also mentored a number of dentists in conscious sedation and set up and run a NEBDN sedation nursing course. We are delighted to accept:

1) NHS and Private referrals – if patient is registered on NHS in their own practice we will see them on the NHS but if registered privately then we would expect the patient to be seen privately at our referral centre.

2) Non-surgical periodontal treatment.

3) Routine restorative dentistry – amalgam and composite fillings.

4) Simple extractions

5) Surgical extraction of teeth

5) Endodontic treatment of incisor, canine and premolar teeth.

We are unable to accept:

Severely medically compromised patients.
Referrals with no treatment plan.
Multiple teeth for endodontic treatment, endodontic re-treatment and molar endodontics.
Tooth wear under IV sedation.
Crown and bridgework.

As Head of Paediatric and Special Care Clinical Development for Clyde Munro Priya is passionate about treating children and is committed to promoting a holistic, patient-centred, model of care with an emphasis on the prevention of dental disease.

Having worked closely with paediatric clinical psychologists, Priya understands the behavioural and management techniques that help children accept dental visits more readily turning them into a more positive experience.

Priya is experienced in treating children who struggle with dental visits due to anxiety and complex additional needs, making City Dental a place where children will want to come for their dental visits.

I enjoy working with people and helping them become a more confident version of themselves. What I find most fulfilling is seeing a positive change in my patients. By following a process of listening; learning and then together formulating the best treatment plan, the best results can be achieved for that individual.

I have a wide scope of experience in dentistry since 2006 which gives me an excellent foundation for aesthetic treatment. Since 2017 I have trained in facial aesthetics and skin health in Glasgow and London. My experience includes the use of botulinum toxin for wrinkle relaxing and the use of hyaluronic acid fillers to replace lost or missing volume and rejuvenate skin. I am also trained in the use of prescription skin care protocols to prepare for and support patients’ facial aesthetic needs. I have a great passion for ensuring the correct holistic treatment plan is made for each individual and one that is going to have a lasting and positive effect.
